Wow...what a long day! Jason and I left around 11:00 this morning on our baby furniture hunt and got home around 5:00 tonight without anything in the back of the truck. We wanted to compare prices everywhere so we hit up every place in the Birmingham metro area. We did get a glider, however did not get to bring it home with us since they had none in stock at Babies R Us. I think we finally found the bed and drawers that Cameron will have in his room....who knew it takes about 6 weeks for this stuff to come in. Good thing we are looking now at 22 weeks. I was anxious to get his room ready before we left this morning, and am now THAT much more anxious now that I've been out looking around. Atleast Jason got a video game while we were out...poor guy, probably not his idea of an ideal Saturday.
I started cleaning out/organizing closets the other day and all of a sudden feel like our cozy home is very little! Time to give away some more of my clothes! We gotta make room for those sweet little blue baby boy clothes--they are much cuter than mine anyways--especially all my expandable waist pants I've been wearing lately...I'm starting to wonder if those pre-pregnancy clothes will ever fit me again.
P.S. I love feeling our baby boy kick around everyday...it brings a smile to my face and sometimes just makes me laugh because it makes me so happy.

Kicking Strong :)
For the past week or so Cameron has made himself very clear to me that he is an active little boy! His kicks and punches are now strong enough that Jason can feel him too. Friday night he felt our little for the first time--he got a big grin on his face and then Cameron kicked him two more times. I don't use the baby beat near as often anymore now that I can actually feel him moving everyday. His peak times are when I sit down to eat. I love it!
Jason and I got to go on a little vacation to Charleston, South Carolina this past weekend and enjoyed our get away greatly! We ate lots of yummy food (including free praline samples) and walked around the streets of downtown Charleston. We also bought one or two little boy outfits. Funny I already find myself heading straight towards his clothes rather than my own when I walk in a store. When we got back from vacation we started taking out our old furniture in our guest bedroom that will become Cameron's nursery. Right now there is no furniture in there, just the random baby stuff we have already purchased. I often stand in the doorway and try to envision how things will be in there in the next couple of months.
With my sister her husband and kids in town we have gotten to spend alot of family time together--yet another thing I am grateful for. I'll post more pictures when I get them loaded.

Our Sweet Baby BOY!!!
Today we found out that our suspicions were true! We are having a baby boy this summer!! We couldn't be anymore excited. We have been talking to my tummy using the name Cameron since we found out we were pregnant--especially Jason. He has been Mr. Confident all along. Cameron Michael Bookout looked as healthy as can be. He is growing right on track! Praise God!! I didn't need to use the Mt. Dew I had put in my purse in case our little guy was sleeping---he definitely wasn't sleeping. He is quite the wiggle worm and all I had for breakfast was cinnamon toast and milk. My mom and Jason's parents got to be there today as well, which we were really thankful for! This baby is going to be receiving alot of love from lots of people. Cameron is going to have the best grandparents. When we got back out to the car my mom had both a blue bag and a pink bag, ready to give me a gift geared towards whatever we were having. Turns out it was the blue bag :)
Afterwards we went to Habeneros for lunch and met Heather, Braxton, Madison and Caleb there. Madison broke down when she found out we weren't having a girl, but I reassured her that our next one would be a girl--she seemed to be ok with that idea. All around we had a great day. We are so undeserving of this gift that God is giving us, and pray that we will be the best possible parents for him and guide him with the love, truth and joy that we have been given. God is so good!
(The picture says "All Boy--Frogs, snails and puppy dog tails" I bought this one before we even knew we were pregnant at Target on the clearance rack. The blanket is from my mom and the notepad and thank-you's are from Heather and the kids).

TNT!
Yesterday I got to shop at our church's kid's consignment sale! I have always been around in the past since the sales are held in the gym at the church (where I work) but I have never been as excited as I was this year! I worked a shift of the sale so I could shop early for our baby on the way. I found lots of great stuff that I am sure we will get much use out of. I found the exact stroller and carrier combo that I was planning on buying anyways at Babies R Us but for a third of the price! That's my kind of shopping :) When I got home that night I displayed it all for Jason to see--I think he was pretty excited too and tried testing out some of our baby gear--now we're just ready to have our baby here with us! I didn't buy any clothes (except for a duckie bathrobe) since my BIG appointment is this coming Monday--after that I will know whether we are having a blue baby boy or pink baby girl!
We have also been reading lots and lots of books and have read about the importance of talking to our little one and just the impact that music can have on him/her since our baby can hear things going on outside of my tummy too. Jason suprised me with 3 new CD's that my little one and I can listen to in the car now---this morning on the way to church it was Disney's songs :) Mom loaned me her "Praise Baby CD" that I love--I have a feeling it might also be one of our baby's favorites as well.
