So once again it's been about 2 months since I've written anything. So here is a small, short, fast recap of whats been going on in our world lately.
Back in December Jason was offered a job with Southern Co Services! He had his first day of work in January and is on week two of his new job. He is adjusting to the "big boy" work clothes he has to wear instead of his "Honda whites" with his name plastered on his white jump suit. He looks so handsome everyday heading off to work. We were just discussing at dinner last night how God has a reason for him at his new job. Also because of his new job we've been busy de-cluttering our house and tidying up for pictures since we plan on trying to sell our house in the near future. Who knows how long it will take for it to sell.
(our patio we had poured..much more stable than the wobbly bricks that were back there)
We aren't in a rush but are looking forward to buying something with just a little more room and moving closer towards the Hoover area where we spend many of our days anyways. We really want our kids to be in a good school system one day and know there are lots of goods one that way. Our church, our family and now Jason's job are all on that side of town. I admit I know I will cry though the day we do sell our house.
Cameron has been a busy bee as always, however lately his monkey climbing abilities have amazed/exhausted me! It is unbelievable the things this little boy can figure out how to climb. He is a full-time job for sure! For instance last night Jason and I were both in the kitchen cleaning up after dinner (mistake..nobody with Cameron..you just can't take your eyes off of him)...So Jason calls me into the bathroom and we find this: (look of she caught me)
He somehow managed to climb on the toilet and use the toilet paper roll holder to help hoist himself up on the bathroom counter and find his way to the opposite side of the sink where he managed to turn on the water close the drain, soak his feet and brush his teeth (probably not brush, but just hold the toothbrush and run it under water).
This really could have been disaster. The bathroom door must now always remain shut unless we are in there with him. I mean I do understand the need to soak your feet...he has done that with me on several occasions in the past!
He is still a sweet cuddle bug at naptime and bedtime. We have his 18 month Dr. appointment next Thursday, so I'm excited to see how he is growing. He is tall and thin (I have a feeling he might always be in the low weight category). In the morning Cameron has his 18 month appointment and then that same afternoon we have baby #2's 18 week appointment. The heart and brain will be checked out and we will discover if this baby is a boy or a girl!!!! I have no preference and can't wait to find out!
I think Cameron is just fine with this little one in my tummy...however.... Last night we went to bring dinner to my best friend who just had her first baby and of course I wanted to hold her. Well Cameron had a melt-down sobbing fell to the floor crying and sobbed even after I made Jason switch with me so I could hold my baby. Hopefully the adjusting period won't take TOO too long!
During Jason's short break between jobs we were able to visit my Aunt and Uncle up at their cabin/home in the North Georgia mountains. We had a great time and enjoyed the snow and sledding. Cameron had his first real sledding experience and loved it. He wouldn't get out at the bottom of the hill so either Jason, Dad, or Nathan had to carry him up in the sled each time to go back down again.
Cameron is such a smarty when it comes to electronics. He knows how to unlock an Ipod pick and app and play a game. He can also pick out a movie turn on the tv and dvd player and load a movie. I really try to limit his tv time now because he is better with electronics than I am.
(Grandaddy and Cameron checking their Ipods/Iphone).
I'm sure I'll be posting soon with our big news of pink or blue!!!
