31 weeks!

I can't believe I am in "the last quarter" now as Jason likes to call it. Cameron could be here in 9 weeks or maybe even less. According to the books I'm reading he should be weighing in a little over 3 lbs now and around 18 inches long! I am still feeling so great and so very thankful for a healthy pregnancy! I am still able to do all the things I like doing plus some of the "cleaning" jobs around the house that I don't love doing...however I think I have started this whole nesting thing early...I like to keep things really clean. Cameron is moving around right now as I type this. He does this thing where it feels like he is actually tickling me with his little fingers.

This past Saturday we went to a "labor class". Instead of breaking it up over several weeks we did the all in one day package deal..which I admit was a little boring. Jason was a good sport and made me laugh most of the time during our breathing exercises...I doubt I'll be laughing during the real thing, but I'm thankful my coach has a sense of humor. Let's pray he doesn't pass out :)

Our yeah, we also had another 4D ultrasound a week ago, since our little man didn't want to show us his whole face last time..although I was happy with what we got she let us come back. Jason, Mom and Dad all got to be there to see him! This time first thing the ultrasound tech said was "he is in the worst possible position". I guess he didn't want his picture. He was still breech with his back facing the front of my tummy. She started pressing on my stomach trying to get him to move around and finally decided it would be best for me to try some type of caffeine drink and walk around. So I chugged my 2nd mt. dew this pregnancy (the first being at our last ultrasound) and what do you know....he moved around. He is beautiful and I can't wait to hold him in my arms...ps --he has the hiccups right now

The Beach!

I realize I'm really bad at updating this....
This past weekend Jason and I went down to Gulf Shores with our friends David and Leslie! We had a great time and really enjoyed just being able to sit out by a pool and relax. Jason really enjoyed the seafood since he never gets to eat that here (Cameron and I do NOT like seafood) . Jason claims his palette is "more sophisticated" than mine because he enjoys a good plate of sushi and even branched out with oysters this weekend. The little guy and I will stick to fruits, vegetables, chicken and most importantly desserts :)

I didn't realize how big I was getting until I had on a bathing suit at the beach. It may become my new wardrobe once I am finished working and can chill in the baby pool in the backyard for those couple weeks before Cameron is expected to be here. I

am getting close to the 30 week marker now. We had always talked that when I reach 30 weeks it will seem like it is really close! I had an appt. last Monday and drank some super sugary orange drink for my glucose test. Thankfully I do not have diabetes and the Dr. gave me the same news--that everything is looking great. I went on a long walk in the neighborhood the other day and was just thanking God for how good he has been to me--my family, friends, health and our new son on the way--His Love truly is amazing. I realize I still have a little over 10 weeks left but I am so thankful that I have been as healthy as I have been. We can not wait to share our love...Jason pulled up my top for this one....notice his hand is on his back...I think he was mocking me.

Cameron's Room and 4D Ultrasound!

Lots of new things:!

Cameron's Room is coming along now. Thank you Grandmommy and Grandaddy for our crib and dresser! I no longer have to stand at the door and try to picture things...they are coming right along. We still have some work to go but we are getting there! Jason--just a few more things to hang on the walls :)
We also were fortunate enough to have a 4D ultrasound to see our little man. It was amazing!! The ultrasound tech scheduled another appoint. for us to come back since he didn't want to show his whole face at the time. He is beautiful. He was moving alot due to some mt. dew and pineapple and a little chocolate. It boggles my mind to see him go from a little appleseed at 6 weeks to about 2 1/2 pounds. God is still in the miracle working business that is for sure!

Here is a peak at Cameron inside my tummy.

Oh yeah and Jason has taken on a new project....not only does he work on cars at Honda he has his own shop inside our garage. Quite an undertaking....he's a busy guy!

Alot coming up

Things have been good in the Bookout household lately. I like the fact that today is the beginning of a new month...it means we are one month closer to when Cameron will be here with us. We have a Dr. appoint. next Monday and then the following week were getting a 4D ultrasound!! Jason now gets to come to all my appoints. with me from here on out. This month we have a baby shower in Decatur and we will have a day-long labor/delivery class (hopefully this will ease Jason's nerves) :) I haven't thought too much about that part yet, and imagine it will be something I will be thinking about much more when the time gets closer.

Cameron and I have been going on lots of walks in our neighborhood lately. I have really really enjoyed this nice sunshine and warm weather. Pretty soon I will need that blow-up pool in our backyard! Our little guy is still kicking nice and strong---I think he really likes it when he hears his daddy's voice, he always seems to move around alot when he does.

Now that we have our glider in place in his room Cameron and I have sat and read a few books that his grandmommy gave to him. Maybe the rest of his furniture will be here soon.

I have about 8 weeks left of work before I go from Leisure/Recreation minister to full-time stay at home mommy. This is a job promotion that I have wanted for quite some time. I'm glad God thinks I'm qualified, I'm sure he will have alot to teach me.

Church Baby Shower

Last weekend was a busy, but good weekend in the Bookout household. Some sweet friends from church threw Jason, Cameron and I a baby shower. We had alot of fun and are thankful to everyone for helping us get ready for our new baby boy! We truly feel blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful family and friends in our lives. The girls arranged some fun games for us to play--Guess what type of melted chocolate candy bar is in this diaper?, The Price is Right with baby items, and Guess the Baby Food Challenge...the last was a struggle for me! I vow to never feed Cameron mac and cheese baby food--I've promised the little guy.

Right after the baby shower we headed home, unloaded some gifts and then hit the road to Atlanta to catch a wedding reception for a buddy of Jason's from work. Saturday was a long day! Sunday morning we met up with Jason's family and grandmother in Atlanta for a quick visit. Before heading home we hit up a few baby stores and browsed around the area. Strangers are now starting to feel comfortable to ask me how many weeks along I am, or if we are having a boy or a girl. Jason is still wanting me to atleast one time act totally shocked and confused like I'm not pregnant when a stranger asks. He would really enjoy that awkward situation.

Oh yeah! Our glider finally came in. I have been a little anxious about getting our little man's room set up and now we have a piece of furniture! The other night I couldn't sleep so I found myself with a bowl of grapes just sitting in his room in the glider that I have a feeling I will be sitting in quite often snuggling with our son in just 3 months! He is getting close to 2 lbs now! Over the next 15 weeks we'll both be packing on a few more pounds.

Chubby Bunnies Camping Trip!

This weekend Jason and I went camping along with some of our good friends from our Sunday School class. We missed half of our group because of the bad weather. We ended up having a great time and things didn't get as bad as were predicted. We got to hear the park ranger come over the intercom several times warning us of tornados. Luckily we got all our tents up just in time before the rain and hail. I told Jason today this is probably the last time Cameron will go camping in my belly though...the desire to pee every 30 min. makes things a little unconvienent when primitive camping- still we had such a wonderful time! However, we plan to take him back in style in Mom and Dad's pop-up at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground after he is here in our arms. 3 months isn't too young to visit Mickey and his friends right?

We had a wonderful time at Mt. Cheaha and are thankful for the good friends that God has blessed us with. I am also thankful for the comfy bed we got to nap in when we got home :) Looking forward to seeing family tomorrow on Easter!

Nursery Furniture Shopping.....

Wow...what a long day! Jason and I left around 11:00 this morning on our baby furniture hunt and got home around 5:00 tonight without anything in the back of the truck. We wanted to compare prices everywhere so we hit up every place in the Birmingham metro area. We did get a glider, however did not get to bring it home with us since they had none in stock at Babies R Us. I think we finally found the bed and drawers that Cameron will have in his room....who knew it takes about 6 weeks for this stuff to come in. Good thing we are looking now at 22 weeks. I was anxious to get his room ready before we left this morning, and am now THAT much more anxious now that I've been out looking around. Atleast Jason got a video game while we were out...poor guy, probably not his idea of an ideal Saturday.

I started cleaning out/organizing closets the other day and all of a sudden feel like our cozy home is very little! Time to give away some more of my clothes! We gotta make room for those sweet little blue baby boy clothes--they are much cuter than mine anyways--especially all my expandable waist pants I've been wearing lately...I'm starting to wonder if those pre-pregnancy clothes will ever fit me again.

P.S. I love feeling our baby boy kick around everyday...it brings a smile to my face and sometimes just makes me laugh because it makes me so happy.
